Literally "brown rice" tea, this Japanese specialty blends
green tea and toasted and popped brown rice to create a savory infusion
that drinks well throughout the day. A generous dusting of matcha
(powdered Japanese green tea) adds a boost of green tea flavor and

PREPARATION:
Genmaicha is suited to teapot, mug, and
gaiwan preparation. Allow
1 to 2 teaspoons of tea per person and infuse with 70°-75°C
(158°-167°F) water for 1-3 minutes and serve. (Genmaicha
