This exquisitely hand-crafted Banko Kyusu comes from Shunho, a ceramic artist who died many years ago. This is from a collection of pots that we uncovered on a purchasing expedition to rural Japan. This particular pot is hand-carved in amazing detail with the a flowing chrysanthemum blossom that extends from the body of the pot onto the lid. This pot has a ceramic strainer, so no metal parts that can wear or rust. An antique heirloom quality pot in an age of disposable culture.
